Nice to meet you, I’m Ariana!

Yogini

I first discovered yoga on my college campus while in recovery from an eating disorder. As a former competitive athlete, I felt balanced by the physical practice (asana) and rhythmic nature of Vinyasa flow after years of playing soccer. As I spent more time on my mat, I became calmer. I was building fluency with the sensations of my breath. Then, slowly, within my first year practicing, I felt at home, empowered, and happy in my body. That feeling felt ground-breaking for a woman with a history like mine.

The rest has been, and continues to be, a love story.

My formal yoga studies began with Kent Bond, Alyssa Prettyman, and Pik Chu Wong in 2019 as I developed as an Aerial and Vinyasa teacher, later studying anatomy and self-massage with Jill Miller. I'm currently deepening my practice with Bhavani Silvia Maki in studying the Yoga Sutras. My approach to teaching is informed by my background in technology and anthropology, where I bring an experimental, curious, and practical perspective to examining the teachings and postures. I believe Yoga helps us see options and truths we hadn’t realized before—the practice is infinitely adaptable and relevant, regardless of where we are and the context in our lives.

After nearly 13 years of practice and study, it’s my pleasure to share yoga with a light heart, patience, and commitment to offering guidance that honors both ancient wisdom and modern understanding. I’m passionate about sharing these teachings so others may benefit from these practices.

Outside the studio, you'll find me supporting environmental organizations like the Sierra Club and Surfrider, while balancing my time between building apps, reading, baking, spending time in nature, and surfing.
