<image:title>Home - Yoga is for everyone, but not all types of Yoga are for everyone.</image:title>
<image:caption>In the yogic philosophy, we acknowledge that each human being has a unique mind-body makeup. I remember when one of my coworkers at a tech company said, “you know, I really proved a yoga teacher wrong when they said yoga was for everybody”. And when I heard this, I chuckled, and I realized how distorted the perception of yoga is depending what you’ve seen and been taught. I can’t blame you because the “yoga marketplace” is messy and competitive in ways that deviate from the essence of yoga. To circle back to yoga being for everyone, I listen to your needs and teach classes that honor your goals. Together, we find an exploratory, learning process so you experience life with more clarity and energy. Whether it’s your first class, you need a weekly yoga class for your team, or are a well-seasoned practitioner - yoga helps make things better.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - This is the short story…</image:title>
<image:caption>I first discovered yoga on my college campus while in recovery from an eating disorder. I felt balanced by the physical poses (asana) and peaceful, meditative states that naturally arise after a yoga class. As I spent more time on my mat, I was less anxious, more in-tune with my body, and significantly kinder to myself. I learned how to listen to my breath. Within one year of consistent practice, I felt at home, empowered, and happy in my body. That feeling is liberating for a girl, now a woman, with a history like mine. The rest has been, and continues to be, a love story. My “formal” yoga studies began with Kent Bond, Alyssa Prettyman, and Pik Chu Wong in 2019 as I developed as an Aerial and Vinyasa teacher, later studying anatomy and self-massage with Jill Miller. I'm currently deepening my practice with Bhavani Silvia Maki in studying the Yoga Sutras. My approach to teaching is informed by my background in technology and anthropology, where I bring an experimental, curious, and practical perspective to examining the teachings and postures. I believe Yoga helps us see options and truths we hadn’t realized before—the practice is infinitely adaptable and relevant, regardless of where we are and the context in our lives. After nearly 13 years of practice and study, it’s my pleasure to share yoga with a light heart, patience, and commitment to offering guidance that honors both ancient wisdom and modern understanding. I’m passionate about sharing Yoga so others may benefit from the practice. Spiritual study & yoga trainings 10 - day Vipassana Meditations as taught by S. N.
